Ramin Bajoghli is a board-certified Family Medicine physician based in Houston, Texas. His path to medicine was anything but linear. After earning a degree in Philosophy and Political Science from Boston University, he spent several years as a photo and video journalist, working with international news organizations and covering major events including the 2008 Democratic presidential primaries and general election. He also filmed and edited documentary work, most notably The Skin That Burns, a short film focused on survivors of chemical weapons exposure.

Drawn to work that combined human stories with service, Ramin eventually turned toward medicine. He earned his medical degree from The University of Queensland School of Medicine–Ochsner Clinical School and completed his Family Medicine residency in New Orleans, where he served as Chief Resident.

Today, Ramin practices family medicine in Houston. He is a father of two, a runner and cyclist, and—slowly but intentionally—finding his way back to photography. His work is shaped by a belief that good medicine, like good storytelling, starts with listening.
